Ellis Urban Village is a historic renovation project. The building was originally home to a pump manufacturer, then it became Cedar Rapids School District’s food warehouse. We renovated the property into 18 two-story, market-rate apartments of various sizes. Two one-story, handicap-accessible apartments were also constructed. The building now uses a GeoWell system with heat pumps. Project scope also included restoration of all exterior brick and windows.
This is a historical tax credit project.
