The first project involved construction of a new facility for St. Mark’s. It has a structural steel frame with masonry exterior walls. The church has an 80-foot-high exterior tubular spire with backlit glass to accent the front of the building, as well as a 110-foot-long atrium. Sixteen classrooms are located in the basement under the fellowship hall. The 600-seat sanctuary provides auditorium style seating and a state of the art sound system with computer imaging and a rear-projection screen.
The second project was a 40,000 sf addition and 14,000 sf renovation. It included a new worship center, entry area, extensive classroom space and meeting rooms. In addition, the kitchen was gutted and it tripled in size, as did the fellowship hall. In this process we moved or modified more than 50% of the exterior walls of the church.
