National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library
This project was very unique because it involved moving a 20,000 sf existing building and placing it above a 30,000 sf two-story building addition about a block away. The project also included new foundations, an underground parking structure, and an inspection well geothermal closed loop system. The addition houses new exhibit centers, staff offices and a library. It was constructed using structural steel, brick veneer, steel roof trusses, shingles and TPO roofing. This project is LEED certified.
