Human Services Campus
The Human Services Campus is an exciting project that came out of the Flood of 2008 recovery efforts. It was partially funded by a $10M I-Jobs grant. The building is four floors over a 20,000 sf parking area. The facility was constructed using structural steel, metal studs, brick veneer, aluminum composite panels and metal siding. It has office space, communal conference areas, restrooms on each floor and two state-of-the-art elevators. This project is unique because it’s sitting on rammed aggregate piers that go down approximately 18 feet. The underground piles increase bearing capacity for the building. The building houses several area non-profit agencies.
