Project Overview
The Eastern Iowa Airport Phase IV Terminal Remodel includes remodeling the current terminal and adding 32,000 square feet of space, including four additional jet bridges, a larger patio, a sensory room and a pet relief area. The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is the state’s second largest airport in Iowa, with nearly 30 percent of the state’s passenger traffic use for business and leisure travel. With the expansion of the terminal, CID now has 13 gates/jet bridges. The airport also boasts a growing cargo operation, with the three cargo carriers handling almost 50 percent of the state’s air cargo. CID handled a record-breaking 1.5 million total passengers in 2024 and is on track to surpass that number in 2025.
